Is Holding Hope for me?
If you find yourself downplaying your grief in an attempt to make others’ comfortable? Or maybe you know that you suppress your grief or avoid sitting with your feelings and emotions? - this will be a brave space for you to lean into your grief.
If you feel like people are often uncomfortable by your grief, you feel alone in your experience of grief or like people don’t understand what you’re going through - this is a safe space to come and be with your grief.
Or maybe the loss you experienced was some time ago and you don’t have a space to be able to share your experience of grief - then and now. Maybe you just want a safe space to share their name, their memory and your love. This is the sacred space to speak their name.
If you’re looking for tangible ways to nurture, express and honour your grief - then this is the nourishing space to come and build a relationship with your grief that allows you to remember with more love than pain.
Holding Hope.
Holding Hope is a safe and supportive space to pause and connect with your grief, share your story and experience of grief in community. Each circle will be as unique as the energy within it however the space will intentionally be curated to ensure that you are held and supported throughout.
Each circle is a blend of sharing and witnessing, compassion and curiosity. You can expect a brief exploration of grief tending to further support you in developing heart tools to navigate your grief. We will complete a guided mediation together that will allow you to be present and tend to whatever is in your heart and needs to move through.
A healing circle is an opportunity for those in grief and living with grief to share what’s on their heart and mind, to listen, and be listened to deeply and generously. Gracious listening requires a hospitable heart, a compassionate presence, a willingness to hear another’s story, a commitment to not “fix,” a willingness to suspend judgment and turn to wonder, and a willingness to hold each story in confidence.
The losses we sustain vary greatly - the death of a loved one, losing a job, a daily routine, a dream, a hope for a better future, a loving relationship and all these experiences can result in grief and suffering. We can often feel disenfranchised from our grief and deprived of our healing if we’re not supported.
In these circles, all loss is validated so we may safely grieve. Our agreements ensure acceptance and confidentiality. We honor our own unique paths to healing and respect the choices of others.
